Vesuvius small group excursion with admission Included

Take an all-inclusive visit to Mount Vesuvius and get up close and personal with the world’s most infamous volcano! Askos Tours organises daily visits with a fantastic itinerary suitable for everyone. Come and immerse yourself completely in the breathtaking natural scenery of the National Park.

The meeting point for your visit to Mount Vesuvius is the entrance to the Pompeii excavations. Here, you’ll board an elegant minivan which will transport you in comfort on your adventure. As you go, your friendly expert guide will regale you with tales of what you’ll see. Driving along roads that ascend the slopes, you’ll pass the impressive Vesuvian Observatory. This is the world’s oldest volcanological monitoring center. You’ll drive through the lush green woods of pines and oaks. You’ll then see how they contrast so starkly with the arid reddish ground of the summit.

At the foot of the crater, you’ll pass the waiting line as we’ll have booked your tickets in advance. Here begins the path that takes you to the top. There are numerous viewing points for you to pause should you need to catch your breath. Not necessarily from exertion, but from the breathtaking sights you behold! Look around and take in the Gulf of Naples and the vast Campania hinterland. Unlike other volcanoes, Mount Vesuvius directly overlooks cities and human life. From the lip of the crater to the coast of Herculaneum, the distance is only six kilometers. Once at the summit, at 1,281 m high, you’ll be able to peer inside the huge crater. Here you’ll fully appreciate the tremendous strength of this volcano, even if you don’t see glowing bubbling magma. This is every photographer’s dream!
